Who We Are
About the Goldfins
The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club (Goldfins) is a non-profit organization established in 1978, with our roots dating back to the 1950’s! We have grown to be the largest allseason swim club in Saskatchewan with over 500 swimmers in our Junior, Competitive and Masters’ programs.
Led by head coach Steven Hitchings, the Goldfins are dedicated to the promotion of excellence in competitive swimming through creating an environment based on our values - Inclusive, Community, Committed, Excellence. Our Club vision is "Excellence in life, excellence in sport."
Swimmers from our Club have participated in meets like the 2017 Canada Summer Games, National Championships, and the Goldfins was even represented at the 2016 Paralympics by swimmer Samantha Ryan. In August 2022, half of Team Saskatchewan was represented by Goldfins athletes in the Jeux du Canada Games!
Our Club is also heavily involved in our community. During the 2019 season, the Club launched #GoldfinsGiveBack; an initiative to get Saskatchewan’s premier swim club contributing in meaningful ways to our community. Events to date include the Terry Fox Run, blood drives, book drives and volunteer hours at the Saskatoon Food Bank and Learning Centre.
Our Club strives to develop exceptional kids through competitive swimming - both in and out of the pool! GO GOLD!
