During the 2024-2025 swim season, the Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is pleased to honor the Goldfins Swimmers of the Month. These remarkable athletes have showcased outstanding dedication, enthusiasm, and resilience in both their training and competitive environments.

September 2024

Oliver Wruck (G2) - Oliver has experienced an outstanding month of training. His steady performance in training sessions reveals impressive consistency, particularly in improving his technical skills, especially in turns and starts, which will translate into improved race performance. Oliver shows a remarkable ability to adapt to various training methods and environments, maximizing every opportunity to refine his skills. He naturally demonstrates leadership both in and out of the pool, inspiring his teammates with his positive outlook and motivating spirit. Congratulations to Oliver on being named Male Swimmer of the Month for September 2024!

Sophia Klawitter (G3 National) - Sophia is a new swimmer with the team by way of Germany.  In Saskatoon on an exchange program, Sophia is intent on swimming to her utmost this season. In our email correspondence over the summer, we were not sure if G3 National with the extra demands would be the right fit for Sophia.  Once she arrived at practice Sophia showed that she could not only handle the demands of the group but excelled in the practices as well!  Sophia is a lane leader more often than not, continually pushes the other swimmers in the group to swim at their best and is always ready with a "congratulations" or "great job" for her teammates after a challenging set.
