Saskatoon Masters Race in the Inaugural Mary Brown Invitational

Mary Brown Invitational (March 28, 2026, Regina)
Goldfins Masters attended the inaugural Mary Brown Invitational in Regina on March 28, 2026. The meet featured long course (50m) racing and brought together Masters swimmers from across Saskatchewan.
Our swimmers delivered an outstanding performance, highlighted by multiple provincial records:
Devon Christoffel set a new LCM Provincial Record in the 25–29 age category in the 200m Butterfly (3:31.55).
Peter Doig broke five LCM Provincial Records in the 65–69 age category:
800m Freestyle – 13:16.08
100m Breaststroke – 1:34.96
200m Breaststroke – 3:31.59
200m Backstroke – 3:35.90
200m Individual Medley – 3:09.85
Denise Gilewicz set three LCM Provincial Records in the 60–64 age category:
800m Freestyle – 13:09.43
100m Breaststroke – 1:48.81
50m Backstroke – 44.24
Michel Levesque broke two LCM Provincial Records in the 70–74 age category:
200m Breaststroke – 4:24.43
50m Breaststroke – 53.78
Aaron Reynolds set a new LCM Provincial Record in the 55–59 age category in the 50m Backstroke (40.64).
Our relay teams also had a strong showing, setting new provincial records:
Mixed 4×100m Freestyle Relay (240–279) – 6:33.19
(Jennifer Furlong, Michel Levesque, Heather Campbell, Aaron Reynolds)
Women’s 4×100m Freestyle Relay (200–239) – 5:55.96
(Tara Bayne, Susan Ryan, Charlene Zaidan, Denise Gilewicz)
Mixed 4×100m Medley Relay (240–279) – 7:25.83
(Tara Bayne, Michel Levesque, Charlene Zaidan, Melvin Hitchings)
All twelve Goldfins Masters finished in the top three of their respective age groups, what an incredible team result!
