Saskatoon Goldfins: Poised to Make a Splash at the 2026 Goldfins Winter Whiteout

As the Saskatoon Goldfins prepare to make waves in the 2026 Goldfins Winter Whiteout, the anticipation is palpable. This exciting event, taking place from February 6 to 8, 2026, at the Shaw Centre in Saskatoon, SK, marks the first hosted Long Course Meet of the season. Age Group Head Coach Gary Cheung shared his thoughts on this significant occasion:
“We are eager to see our swimmers race at our home pool, where the Long Course format places a greater emphasis on efficiency and technical maturity throughout the race. This competition will be a valuable opportunity to assess our swimmers’ progress before the upcoming ManSask Championships in March.”
A total of 130 swimmers have registered for the Winter Whiteout, with competitors from nine Saskatchewan swim teams and two out-of-province teams striving to enhance their times and rankings. The Timed Finals format promises an intense weekend of racing, as athletes aim to achieve the Top World Aquatic Points in their respective age groups.
The Goldfins extend their heartfelt thanks to the meet’s sponsors and Club supporters. The success of this event is a testament to the dedication and support of an extraordinary team. Special recognition goes to the Goldfins Meet Management Committee members: Michelle Jarcan, Rick Godbout, Ryan Lejbak, Jason Wosminity, and Robin Mowat, as well as the entire Goldfins community.
