Salute to our Goldfins Swimmers of the Month - April 2025
April 2025
Lauren Russell (B3) - Lauren has been consistently improving her skills and conditioning, earning her first ManSask time at PWI in December. Since then, she has continued to show up, train hard, and improve every day. Her dedication to training has helped her push herself in practice, follow sets and instructions effectively, and maximize her productivity in the pool. Lauren also brings a great attitude to every session—and even manages to smile while swimming!
Keep up the fantastic work, Lauren!

Kiarash Aminaie (B2) - A year ago, Kiarash was showing up to the pool in board shorts, struggling to complete practices. But he had a big goal—he told me he wanted his A time and, one day, a PRO swimmer. Over the past year, he has steadily improved, showing daily dedication to his training. He attended July training last summer, then took it upon himself to swim and do dryland on his own to work toward his goals. When the season started in September, he was determined to get his A time as soon as possible.
He came up just short of his A time before February Jr. Provincials in Moose Jaw, which only fueled his determination. After months of hard work, he hit his A time at the Bridge City meet in the 50 Free going 34.98!!
Kiarash is on his way to great things in this sport. His work ethic is undeniable—he even shows up to Saturday afternoon practice with a 4000-meter set that he completes on his own. That level of dedication is a true testament to his drive to be his best.
Great job, Kiarash—congratulations!
