Goldfins Swimmers of the Month - Celebrating Outstanding Achievements in the Pool - March 2026

April 7, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is proud to announce the Swimmers of the Month program for 2026, celebrating athletes who show exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience. Each month, swimmers who embody these traits will be recognized. Excellence in swimming is not just about speed or wins but also perseverance, positivity, and team inspiration.

Swimmers of the Month are chosen for their pool performance, sportsmanship, leadership, and team spirit. They serve as role models, demonstrating that success in swimming combines skill, mindset, and teamwork.

This program highlights diverse talents and strengths, fostering a supportive community. It reflects the club's dedication to nurturing each swimmer's potential, valuing their journey as much as their achievements.

March 2026

Nicole Lam (B1) - While competing at Junior Provincials, Nicole achieved her first AA time in 50 free. This opened the opportunity to compete at ManSask. During practices in March leading up to ManSask, Nicole was very focused on performing and sharpening her skills going into the meet. While competing at ManSask in Winnipeg, her effort and focused paid off in some very outstanding races as well as achieving another AA in the 50 breaststroke. Well done Nicole, keep up the great swimming!

Will Sothilingam (G2) -  Will has been an excellent example of hard work and dedication paying off. Leading up to ManSask in March, Will had been sick, but made sure to take the time to properly recover before returning to training so that he'd be in top shape to compete. While competing at ManSask in Winnipeg, Will managed best times in 6 our of 7 events, and getting second swims in the 6 races he could make finals for. A long weekend sticking to his warm ups, swim downs, and getting in the rest & recovery he needed to keep racing lead to his outstanding performance during the meet. Congratulations on your stellar performance Will!
