Goldfins Shine in Regina: Achieving New Heights and Setting New Personal Bests

October 5, 2026

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club journeyed to Regina, SK, to participate in the Norm Banfield Memorial from October 2 to 4, 2026. A total of 55 swimmers from the Goldfins took part in 431 individual events.

This season, Goldfins swimmers face a new challenge with the updated Swim Saskatchewan Provincial Qualifying Time Standards, which will be implemented from 2026 to 2028. Impressively, the Goldfins have already achieved 61 new qualifying times in both Junior and Senior categories. These achievements enable swimmers to participate in the Junior Provincials in February 2027 and the Senior Provincials in March and July 2027. This accomplishment not only highlights the swimmers' dedication and talent but also underscores the diverse capabilities within the team. Congratulations to Chloey Sun who posted her first Junior Provincial Qualifying Time Standard in the 50M Breaststroke.
