Goldfins Present the Swimmers of the Month - November 2025

December 23, 2025

The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is proud to announce the Swimmers of the Month program for 2026, celebrating athletes who show exceptional commitment, enthusiasm, and resilience. Each month, swimmers who embody these traits will be recognized. Excellence in swimming is not just about speed or wins but also perseverance, positivity, and team inspiration.

Swimmers of the Month are chosen for their pool performance, sportsmanship, leadership, and team spirit. They serve as role models, demonstrating that success in swimming combines skill, mindset, and teamwork.

This program highlights diverse talents and strengths, fostering a supportive community. It reflects the club's dedication to nurturing each swimmer's potential, valuing their journey as much as their achievements.

November 2025

Emery Bernier (B2) - Congratulations to Emery on her well-deserved recognition as the Goldfins Female Swimmer of the Month for November 2025.

Through her consistent attendance, positive engagement, and strong performance, Emery has demonstrated exceptional discipline in her training over the past few months. She has emerged as a leader within her group, regularly setting a great example during practice and willingly providing demonstrative support to her teammates as we work through new and more complex skills.

Emery approaches her training with clear goals in mind and a strong determination to achieve them. Her focus, work ethic, and commitment to continual improvement are evident every day on deck, and we are excited to see her continued progress as the season unfolds.

James deLathouwer (G3S) - James has stepped up in a big way this month, showing initiative and a drive to push his limits in training. His improved focus in dryland has translated directly into noticeable gains in the water—bringing more speed, strength, and confidence to his racing.

Another aspect that is contributing to his improvement is his willingness topush his limits. He’s not just showing up—he’s consistently putting in the work, leading by example with his effort, focus, and attendance.

At the Goldfin Invite, James delivered some outstanding swims, highlighted by a 53.9 in the 100 Free—a huge milestone and proof of the progress he’s making. With JP Fiset just around the corner, we’re excited to see James carry this momentum forward and light up the pool once again.

Congratulations, James!
