Goldfins Masters Swimmers Ready to Dazzle at the 2025 Speedo Canadian Masters Championships
Saskatoon, SK – The Saskatoon Goldfins Swim Club is gearing up to host the highly anticipated 2025 Speedo Canadian Masters Championships, scheduled from May 16–18, 2025, at the Shaw Centre. This prestigious event, organized in partnership with Swimming Canada, will feature competitive swimming events for Masters swimmers aged 18 and older. With 79 clubs participating and 479 swimmers expected, the deck is set to be a bustling hub of activity.
The Goldfins will proudly field a team of 58 swimmers, each eager to make their mark on this national stage. A Year in the Making
Goldfins Masters Head Coach Gary Cheung reflects on the extensive planning and preparation that have gone into hosting this championship. “I can’t believe it has been over a year since we embarked on this journey,” Cheung shared. “From the bidding process to the announcement of the Goldfins as the host club, it's been a collaborative effort. Our Goldfins Masters membership has nearly tripled this past season, which speaks volumes about our community's enthusiasm and dedication.”
Cheung also acknowledged the collective efforts of everyone involved, from the Goldfins Swim Club Board of Directors to the volunteers. “The collaboration effort of the Goldfins Swim Club Board of Directors, the Goldfins Coaches, and the Goldfins Masters swimmers have made this swim meet a reality. I am thrilled to be a part of the preparations and look forward to seeing everyone compete.”
