Experience the Thrills of the Goldfins Invitational 49 in Saskatoon

As the crisp autumn air settles into Saskatoon, the Goldfins Swim Club is delighted to conjure up a thrilling spectacle with the Spooktacular Goldfins Invitational 49. From October 24 to 26, 2025, at the Shaw Centre, this enchanting event will see 245 swimmers from ten clubs across Alberta, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan dive into a cauldron of competition. Like witches brewing a perfect potion, these athletes will mix skill and determination in mixed-gender preliminary heats, before transforming into fierce competitors in the male and female finals.

As we embark on this ghostly journey, the schedule unfurls like a mysterious map.

Day 1

Events: 100M Backstroke, 50M Fly, 200M Breaststroke, 50M Freestyle, 400M Individual Medley, 800M Freestyle, 4 X 100M Freestyle Relays

 

Day 2

Saturday, October 25, 2025 – Prelims Competition: 9:30 AM

Saturday. October 25, 2025 – Finals Competition: 5:00 PM

Events: 100M Freestyle, 200M Fly, 200M Backstroke, 50M Breaststroke, 400M Freestyle, 4 X 100M Medley Relays

Sunday, October 26, 2025 – Prelims Competition: 9:30 AM

Sunday, October 26, 2025 – Finals Competition: 3:30 PM

Events: 200M Freestyle, 100M Breaststroke, 200M Individual Medley, 50M Backstroke, 100M Fly, 1500M Freestyle, 4 X 50M Mixed Medley Relay

These swimmers, along with their fearless teammates, will surely captivate spectators, whether watching live or through the Spooktacular live stream—offering a front-row seat to this aquatic masquerade.

Adding to the eerie ambiance, Al Anderson’s Source for Sports will materialize at the event, offering equipment and suits to those in need of an upgrade to their spectral gear. Meanwhile, the Starting Block Café will serve a variety of ghastly delights to keep both spirits and swimmers fueled throughout the weekend. From Friday’s sizzling hot dogs to Sunday’s tantalizing Taco in a Bag, the menu promises to satisfy every ghoul and goblin.

In the spirit of community and camaraderie, the Goldfins Swim Club extends its gratitude to the parents and volunteers who will be the guardians of this event, ensuring its smooth operation.
